Holding a BA in Communications, complemented by a minor in Sociology, from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Michael is a dedicated professional, lover of all things horror, husband, and proud cat dad.
Starting his professional career as a paleontology student, Michael dove deep into the ancient mysteries of the Earth and educated the public on the secrets of prehistoric life. His curiosity and commitment to science have led him to serve as a current Associate Board Member for Project Exploration, a prominent science not-for-profit organization based in Chicago. In this role, he actively supports the organization’s mission of empowering young people through access to scientific experiences, particularly for underrepresented groups.
During college, Michael dedicated his expertise as the Education Manager at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum. Throughout his 10-year journey, he spearheaded engaging and inclusive educational programs, facilitating meaningful experiences for diverse groups spanning multiple generations. His ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds brought history and social justice to life, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
As the Operations Manager at LimeRed, Michael thrives in a dynamic environment where efficiency and collaboration are paramount. In this role, he advocates for streamlined processes, works closely with the company’s president to manage finances, and ensures optimal project outcomes. Michael also supports the entire LimeRed team, providing the necessary resources and support to facilitate success.
Beyond his professional endeavors, he indulges in his passions as an avid horror movie enthusiast, video and board gamer, and dedicated toy collector. Alongside Hector, his loving husband, he cherishes the joys of being a cat dad to Minerva (Minnie) and reading a good book.
