Demetrio leads co-creative and process-driven methods between clients and design teams to uncover insights and align business goals toward innovative design solutions.

Demetrio mentors and coaches startups and social entrepreneurs monthly at innovation and incubator spaces, including 1871 and 2112 in Chicago, advocating for human-centered design approaches toward problem-solving and business success.

As an adjunct faculty member at Columbia College Chicago, he instructs and guides the next generation of communication experts on social and digital strategies while supporting curriculum research and design. Demetrio is also an adjunct instructor for the Nonprofit Technology Network’s Certification Core program, teaching the Digital Strategies course.

Demetrio is a passionate creator and producer focusing on cultural diversity, social justice, and community development. He’s directed and produced award-winning video documentaries, developed and designed interactive community programs, and written and designed sound scores for several community theater projects in Chicago.

Demetrio is the former host and executive producer for Chicago is the World, a weekly on-air radio program curating and featuring music, voices, and stories from around the globe. He is also proud to serve as a member of the board of directors at the Chicago Cultural Alliance —a consortium of Chicago-area ethnic museums, cultural centers, and historical societies promoting cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration.
